Modern food blogger Su Xiaotang accidentally travels to the war-torn Zhaoyuan Era. On the brink of starvation, she's rescued by the cold-faced General Shen Yan, who's leading troops to suppress a rebellion. To get a hot meal, she uses the only ingredients available to make a crispy drumstick that shocks Shen Yan—who never eats "useless food". Seizing the moment, Su Xiaotang declares, "A drumstick for you, General, and I'll help you conquer the world!" But her "grand strategies" are just winning over soldiers with food and softening enemy generals with sweet talk. To her surprise, Shen Yan not only believes in these "unorthodox tricks" but also quietly falls for her. When enemy troops besiege the city, can Su Xiaotang's "food-based tactics" save the day? And will her little survival scheme hidden in the drumstick turn into a true heart that touches Shen Yan?
