On the eve of their 10th wedding anniversary, Lin Wanwan turns her mother-in-law's birthday banquet into a stage for her "divorce announcement"—arm in arm with her "first love" Bai Yueguang, she declares she wants a divorce and custody of their daughter. When her mother-in-law collapses from a heart attack, she sneers, "It's time to break free." But she forgets that Gu Siyan, the man who picks up their daughter from school and cooks soup daily, was once the "Yama Gu" in finance who made rivals tremble. Gu Siyan takes out his unused phone for three years and says, "Activate Plan B." In an instant, his business empire returns: Bai Yueguang is a fraud, her designer bags and their daughter's school spot are all his gifts. When Lin Wanwan begs for reconciliation in tears, he holds their daughter by the floor-to-ceiling window: "You destroyed the home I cherished most—you deserve to lose it."
