On her wedding day, Lin Xiaoman’s bridal car crashes into a funeral procession’s coffin—and activates the “Marriage-Funeral System”! The system accuses her of breaking the “intertwined weddings and funerals” rule of the yin-yang realm: either help 99 ghosts fulfill their wishes, or die. Worse, her cold arranged-marriage groom Gu Jingshen is dragged in too—he’s part of the “wedding” side, so he has to join. Now, Lin fights her oppressive in-laws by day and tackles ghostly tasks by night: helping a female ghost find her lost wedding dress (Gu gets chased as a “groom stand-in”), or helping an old man host an “underworld wedding feast” (they wear wedding robes for the ghost). Amidst laughter, Gu softens from an “iceberg groom” to a “ghost-fighting, wife-protecting maniac,” and their fake marriage turns real. But when the final task leads back to the coffin—inside lies Gu’s grandfather, who created the system to set up his grandson’s love—they realize: this “wedding-funeral collision” was a destined love scheme all along!
