Rural father Li Jianguo came to the city to help his son take care of the baby, but was despised by his city daughter-in-law Zhou Min to the core—his old coat was thrown into the trash, the handmade wooden gun he made for his grandson was called “too rustic to look at”, and he was even stopped from entering the kitchen for “fear of dirtying the luxury countertop”. Until one day, he fell into an antique shop and hit his forehead on a bronze Buddha, unexpectedly awakening “golden eyes” that could see through everything! Under the rotten vegetable basket in the market was an imperial green jade bracelet, the broken copper stove in the scrap yard was a Qing Dynasty official kiln, and even the dirt under the community tree had gold ingots... When the former “poor old man” became a celebrity in the treasure appraisal circle, his daughter-in-law changed from sarcasm to fawning. But Li Jianguo had other plans—using his ability to build roads in his hometown, save a “happy growth fund” for his grandson, and buy his wife the red dress she didn't dare to buy back then. In this rural dad's counterattack, lies the warmest taste of life.
