Lin Wan, a fire investigator, is haunted by a decade-old nightmare: her words "Mom is in the master bedroom" sent Lu Ran's comrade into an exploding blaze during the fire that killed her parents. Ten years later, Lu Ran has become the "ice-cold fire captain," and they reunite over a series of arsons. Lu Ran's coldness is like unextinguished embers, burning Lin Wan too afraid to mention the past pain. But when the case points to the old fire being arson, they discover Lin Wan's "mistake" was actually someone deliberately swapping the fire floor plan. As the flames of truth lick at their true hearts, can they retrieve the love buried in guilt from the embers?
