Lin Xiaokou is a "penny-pinching to the bone" office worker in the city—he counts beans in his soybean milk, spends half an hour calculating takeout discounts, takes company toilet paper one square at a time, and even makes neighbors write IOUs for borrowing vinegar. Everything changes when he bumps into a mysterious old man and activates the "Cultivation & Frugality System": doing "uncalculating" good deeds earns him spiritual power, but the system forces him to "clear all costs"—carrying water for an aunt deducts "physical strength cash-out," buying food for strays cuts his "lunch budget"! Worse yet, he meets Su Tang, a rebellious wealthy heiress who steals his discounted rice, forces him to donate to charity, and even drags him into raising stray dogs! Caught between the system's urge to "upgrade cultivation" and Su Tang's "spending spree attacks," Lin Xiaokou struggles between his frugal instinct and forced generosity—only to realize that those "uncalculating" moments have brought him something far more precious than money: Su Tang's smile, the warmth of life, and a reason to stay mortal. When the system's final mission arrives, he must choose between "becoming an immortal with enough spiritual power" and "staying with Su Tang forever"…
