Lin Xiaoman, a delivery girl, finds a pair of golden chopsticks carved with twisted branches and discovers they can “read” the obsessions hidden in customers’ orders—like the office worker who wants tangyouguozi (sweet fried dough) to recall her grandma’s unfulfilled last wish, or the overtime guy who orders plain noodles out of guilt for his late father. As she uses the chopsticks to fulfill wishes, she meets Gu Yan, a sarcastic gourmet searching for his family heirloom.
