Lin Wanzhao guards her grandma's "Jinyan Ge" handmade fireworks shop, only to receive a demolition notice from developer Gu Zhao—he coldly orders her to move out in three days. But late at night, Gu Zhao secretly lights the old fireworks from a decade ago outside the shop. Those sparks engraved with "Xiao Wan must be happy forever" ignite Lin Wanzhao's lost memories: he was the "little mute" who used to hide behind the shop with her to set off fireworks. Before being forced away years ago, he promised to return to "marry the little boss of the fireworks shop". Now reunited, Gu Zhao hides his deep affection and pretends to be a "villain", fearing she'll learn he's fallen out with his company to save the shop; Lin Wanzhao clutches the old firework paper, too scared to confront the misunderstanding. Behind the "demolition" facade, they use the stories in each firework to piece together their long-overdue "timely joy".
