Lin Wan, a creative director at an advertising agency, returns to her hometown for a traditional brand project, only to find her childhood Nanyin teahouse facing demolition. The owner is Grandpa Li, who taught her the classic Nanyin piece *Rain Beating on Plantains*, and the demolition leader is Chen Mo—her ex-boyfriend who broke up with her three years ago over the conflict between "career or original intention". Forced to team up to retrieve Grandpa Li's lost century-old sheet music, they rediscover memories buried under workplace sharpness: Chen Mo once secretly recorded her singing Nanyin, and Lin Wan had vowed to "let the world hear Nanyin". As the sheet music reappears and the demolition deadline looms, can they win back each other and keep the promise of "Nanyin Tonight"?
