Lin Xiaoman, the owner of a street-corner flower shop, has a crush on Gu Yan, a rising architect next door. She always thinks she’s the one taking the initiative—sending freshly cut chamomile to his downstairs, staying up to draw the moon silhouettes at his window, and leaving a lamp on for him when he works overtime. She never notices the hidden undercurrent of mutual love. While tidying up clutter, she finds Gu Yan’s old notebook from three years ago and a box of her small moon sketches. A line on the title page breaks all pretense: “When Xiaoman looked up at the moon, I had already fallen in love first.” The love she thought she rushed toward turned out to be him running to her from the start.
