Lin Wan, suffering from a rare degenerative disease, has spent five years and all her family's wealth seeking medical help with no luck. Even emotional fluctuations could cause her to faint, so she has long given up hope. Until she meets Shen Zhi, a talented psychologist just back from abroad, who seems carefree at first but sees her emotional root of illness at once and offers joint treatment. They go from mutual wariness to getting closer, and later find out their diseases are secretly related while Shen Zhi's family dark past comes to light. This unexpected encounter is not only the first sweetness in Lin Wan's life but also a chance for two fate-tortured people to seek redemption.
