After being drained dry by his unfilial son and dying in regret, retired factory worker Wang Dafa wakes up to find himself reborn in 1992, when his son was still a reckless young troublemaker. Refusing to be a doormat this time, he chases away loan sharks hounding his son for gambling debts, rejects his son’s endless pleas for cash, and runs a breakfast stall outside the local state-owned factory with his daughter-in-law. When his son throws another fit to exploit him, Dafa uses his decades of life wisdom to outmaneuver him at every turn, determined to set his son straight.
