In the 1980s, Lin Shan, a mountain village youth, went into the mountains to find a life-saving herb for his sick mother. He was robbed by a village bully who coveted the herb and attacked by a fierce wolf, on the brink of death when he accidentally activated the Devour Evolution System—swallowing beasts grants their special abilities. He survived by biting the wolf's throat to complete his first evolution, gaining super speed and strength. Returning to the village, he used his beast-derived power to crush ungrateful relatives who bullied his family, protecting his loved ones and embarking on a road to prosperity with his unique abilities.
