Lin Mo, a transmigrator, stumbles into Journey to the West's world. He only plans to survive the storyline peacefully but unexpectedly turns Sun Wukong to his side. The turned Wukong erupts with fury, publicly expressing dissatisfaction with Tang Sanzang's pedantry and plotting with Lin Mo to subvert the heavenly destiny of the pilgrimage. It turns out that the long journey is an abnormal chess game set by them; master and disciples split, order collapses, and they aim to reverse Journey to the West's ending and rewrite their own fates.
