In the first severe winter of the 1980s, young Lin Mo had his old house and savings stolen by his covetous uncle. With nowhere to go, he escaped into Qilian Mountains with half a corn bun and only a broken slingshot for survival, until he accidentally activated the mysterious "Prey Drop Chests System"—the fiercer the prey he hunts, the more valuable supplies he gets, from life-saving game, warm furs to rare mountain delicacies and wealth secrets. He wildly collects resources with the system, rising from desperate plight to standing firm, finally exposing his uncle and aunt's plot, taking back his family property and building a prosperous road in the mountains.
