Down-and-out fisherman A-Ming ekes out a living on his rickety old fishing boat. With meager income and debts, he's always mocked and looked down upon by the dock crowd. On a risky trip to waters where bluefin tuna have long been extinct, he hauls in a rare 300-jin bluefin tuna in one net, selling it for a staggering 300,000 yuan on the spot. The news shocks the entire dock, and he instantly transforms from a despised lowly fisherman into the sought-after big shot everyone fawns over, pulling off an incredible rags-to-riches comeback.
