During the reign of Emperor Kangxi, a village was hit by a catastrophic disaster. A phoenix descended to protect the villagers, but was framed as a disaster by a sorcerer coveting its divine power and sealed in the mountains. Three hundred years later, a new village was built on the original site. The villagers, misled by rumors spread by the sorcerer's descendants, awakened the sleeping phoenix and intended to treat it as a sacrifice for atonement. The phoenix in human form sensed the conspiracy. Caught in the whirlpool of trust and misunderstanding, truth and lies, it must prove its innocence and prevent the tragedy. A cross-time contest between good and evil unfolds.
