Lin Xiaoman, a corporate slave, has a roommate Gu Chuan—a dramatic painter who turns their rental into a paint mountain, steals her precious milk tea, and even uses her face masks for "art". Fed up, Xiaoman yells at a shooting star, "Take my roommate away!" To her surprise, Gu Chuan announces he's moving for a sketching trip the next day. Staring at the empty house, Xiaoman realizes all those "troubles" were his hidden tenderness: he secretly fostered her allergic stray cat, stayed up to revise her rejected project, and even memorized her menstrual cycle. Rushing to the station, she finds Gu Chuan holding her favorite milk tea: "I'm only gone for three months—wanna... keep being my roommate?"
