As they trace the clues, they discover her grandfather and Gu Shen's father once fought poachers to protect the endangered Chinese spotted deer. Now, poachers have returned, targeting the ancient jade mine under the deer's habitat. When the deer's call echoes again in the mountains, it's both a warning and a calling: Xiaoman seeks her grandfather's past, Gu Shen defends his father's legacy, and their fates, bound by the "Deer Call," force them to heal old wounds, guard the deer, and find love amid danger.
