Career-driven Su Xiao is tricked into returning to her hometown by her grandma, who claims it's her "last wish"—to marry Lin Chuan, her childhood nemesis. The grandma insists they had a "child betrothal," but really wants Su to let go of her work obsession. Lin, in turn, has to play along to save his family's dying old bookstore. They start sabotaging each other but slowly fall for one another. Right before the fake wedding, Su discovers grandma's "terminal illness" is a lie, and Lin's "cooperation" hides a decade-long true love… Is this "pulled marriage" a grandma's scheme, or fate's hidden gift?
