Su Mo, inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage ink-making art in Langya, accidentally discovers a thousand-year-old ink stick engraved with "Langya" while tidying her family's old house. The ink hides her ancestors' secrets about protecting the ink-making scroll. Shen Yan, an archaeologist, comes to Langya to find related lost cultural relics, and crosses paths with Su Mo. The two clash over the ownership and secrets of the ink, but develop feelings while investigating the truth, getting involved in a storm concerning intangible cultural heritage inheritance and cultural relics repatriation.
