Su Xiaoyu, an invisible office worker, has her project stolen by her team leader, is squeezed out by a wealthy colleague, and is slandered for cheating by her ex-fiancé. Even her father tells her to “endure it.” Until her mother Li Guilan, who had been missing for five years, suddenly appears! The former “jianghu big sister” just got out of prison—with curly hair, a flowery shirt, and the old copper keychain on her waist. She slaps the team leader immediately: “How dare you sign your name on my daughter’s work?” Then she confronts her ex-fiancé’s new girlfriend, teaches a lesson to the nosy neighbor, and even helps her rise to project manager. But when Su Xiaoyu thinks her mom is just there to back her up, she discovers the truth about her mother’s imprisonment is related to herself… As the mother-daughter duo “fight monsters” together and解开 their knots, the tearful yet funny counterattack hides the most hardcore “mom’s偏爱 (preference).”
