On the final week of their 30-day divorce cooling-off period, Lin Wan has redrafted her divorce papers for the third time, only for every attempt to finalize her split to be derailed: the civil affairs bureau’s system crashes last minute, her mother-in-law shows up unannounced with homemade soup, and even their pet ragdoll cat tears up the filled-out forms.
