For their first anniversary, Chen Mo and Xu Fanxing rack their brains to prepare the 'ultimate surprise' for each other—Chen Mo saves up to buy the piano Fanxing once wanted to learn, while Fanxing grits her teeth to bring home the British Shorthair cat Chen Mo mentioned. But they don’t realize those 'wishes' are long gone: Fanxing gave up piano due to work overload, and Chen Mo is severely allergic to cat fur. Trying not to disappoint each other, they hide the truth and struggle on, until Fanxing catches Chen Mo taking allergy pills. This 'gift war' finally becomes a chance to bare their hearts—turns out the best gift isn’t 'what I think you want,' but 'my willingness to understand you.'
