Su Wan returns to Lingnan's old street to inherit the struggling "Chunzaoju" teahouse per her grandmother's will, only to meet Lin Shen—who claims to guard the shop as entrusted by her grandma. This "old-school" guy, insisting on hand-made shrimp dumplings and rejecting modernization, becomes her biggest obstacle to reviving the teahouse. During a quarrel, they find her grandma's diary: Lin's grandpa was once her grandma's dim sum teacher, and they missed each other due to the times—"Chunzaoju" was their shared regret. To fulfill the elders' wish, Su gives up her internet-famous transformation plan, Lin learns to accept new ideas, and they fight together against developers wanting to demolish the street. Amidst the smoke of kneading dough and steaming dim sum, they understand the waiting and reunion hidden in "early spring" for half a lifetime.
