A man arrives in a chaotic era, clutching only a broken hatchet when he unexpectedly awakens a bandit system. The system originally demands he grow by plundering, but he defies it—leading villagers to abandon robbery, build mountain paths, cultivate farmland and set up workshops, drawing refugees to gather a crowd of 100,000 mountain villagers. He fights off invading bandits, copes with the system’s punitive missions and resolves villagers’ trust crises. Eventually, with infrastructure and people’s hearts as his shield, he rises to become the strongest bandit king protecting the people, subverting the traditional script of bandits’ rise to power.
