Lin Xiaoman, a part-timer at a billiard hall, has a secret—she can calculate any ball's pocket path with her eyes closed, yet she never dares touch a cue. Until one day, Chen Mo, a down-and-out former billiards champion, is cornered by debt collectors and forces her into a "life-or-death game." When the final black ball drops, Chen Mo realizes Xiaoman's shot style is identical to his lover who disappeared a decade ago—the woman he'd sent to the finals but never got to see again. And on the old cue Xiaoman hides at the bottom of her wardrobe, Chen Mo's name is carved deep into the wood.
