Ah Jiu, a countryside beggar, has wandered for 17 years surviving on scraps. When beaten on the street, he finds his jade pendant has the royal Nine-Dragon Pattern—he’s the real prince abandoned by a treacherous concubine! The “crown prince” about to ascend the throne is the fake who killed his mother and stole his identity! To avenge, Ah Jiu sneaks into the capital, pretends to be a lowly servant to lower the fake prince’s guard, and secretly gathers evidence with loyal servants. At the fake prince’s coronation, Ah Jiu appears with the late emperor’s edict, tears off the fake’s disguise in public, and punishes the traitors. Finally, he takes his rightful throne, ending 17 years of endurance and starting a prosperous era.
