When Xiaoman collapses from overworking (balancing studies and part-time gigs) and is hospitalized, mom finds the receipt for waist ointment and a medical university brochure filled with Xiaoman’s notes hidden in her bag—realizing her daughter’s dream of becoming a doctor to cure her. When Xiaoman wakes up holding the mended costume and says, “I studied every night”, mom hugs her and sobs, “I was blind… I didn’t see your love”.
