Down-and-out cartoonist Lin Wan is horrified when the plots of her suspense comic are perfectly reenacted in real-life serial murders, with every kill matching her storyboards down to the last detail. To her shock, she wakes up three months before the comic’s official launch, with the killings yet to occur and hitmen already hunting her. Teaming up with stoic detective Gu Zheng, she races against time to rewrite the comic’s ending, stop the deadly spree, and uncover the mastermind who ruined her career years ago. Along the way, the unlikely partners develop a sweet, tense romance as they fight to rewrite their fates and claim a well-deserved comeback.
