The Plum Blossom Haven is a secluded valley where painter Su Wan has lived in seclusion for years, making a living by painting plum blossoms and staying away from worldly affairs. Her quiet life is shattered when a badly wounded amnesiac general Gu Yan crashes into her courtyard. Gu Yan carries a top-secret military tally linked to court upheavals, and his pursuers soon track them down. Forced to hide in the hidden caves deep in the plum forest, Su Wan and Gu Yan develop feelings for each other amid their shared danger. But Su Wan soon discovers the pursuers are Gu Yan's cousin, and her family's ancient plum scroll holds the final hiding place of the tally. The haven's peace is broken overnight, and the pair must fight their pursuers while uncovering the secrets hidden in their own life experiences.
