As Chinese New Year nears, office worker Lin Xiaoman gets laid off, left with only 3 yuan—too poor to buy a train ticket home. Crying in a convenience store corner, she accidentally touches a strange box labeled "Zero-Cost Shopping System" on the shelf. Suddenly, her phone has an interface that lets her redeem any daily item! But every use triggers a chubby "Task Elf," demanding she repay with kindness: watching a vegetable vendor’s stall, building a nest for strays, delivering a courier’s last package… Just as she saves enough for her ticket, the system issues an "Ultimate Task: Find the system’s creator." Following the clue, she’s shocked to find Gu Chuan—her first love who she thought had gone abroad five years ago! It turns out Gu Chuan distanced himself to develop this "Kindness System" for ordinary people, and the system chose Lin Xiaoman because she once gave a down-and-out Gu Chuan a bowl of hot porridge—that was his initial motivation. Caught between her returning first love and a system that "unlocks more with kindness," Lin Xiaoman’s New Year becomes a sweet adventure about love and goodwill.
