Lin Wan, a 32-year-old advertising director, accidentally activates the "Younger Boy Sweet Pet System" after messing up three consecutive projects—she can only turn her career around by spoiling her 22-year-old neighbor Gu Xiaotang. Gu Xiaotang seems like a soft-spoken manga artist but is actually an "anti-sentiment expert": when Lin Wan gives him his most hated taro ball milk tea, he shoves it into the fridge; when Lin Wan praises his manga as "cute," he rolls his eyes and retorts, "You're the cute one." Through their interactions, Lin Wan discovers his hidden pain—he grew up with his grandma, and the protagonists in his manga are always looking for their mothers. Lin Wan starts to "spoil him sincerely": secretly contacting a publishing house for him, spending his first birthday with him, and staying up all night revising his drafts until her eyes are red. And Gu Xiaotang also quietly "goes crazy": helping her revise advertising ideas to turn her career around, bringing her hot congee while saying stubbornly, "I just don't want to hear you complain about stomach pain." When the system notifies her that the task is completed, Gu Xiaotang suddenly hugs her and says, "I knew you were spoiling me a long time ago, but I want you to keep doing it forever." It turns out that the so-called system task is just the beginning of two souls healing each other.
