Lin Xiaoman, an office worker crushed by workplace PUA, returns home late at night only to find the long-locked storage room door open—inside, curled up, is Gu Zhao, a handsome Taoist priest in a robe who claims to be a "Gate Spirit Guardian" from the cultivation world. He says a system glitch sent him falling into modern times, and this door, a channel between two worlds, needs three months to fix. Forced to live together, chaos ensues: Gu Zhao collects express packages as "spiritual items" into his storage pouch and uses small spells to prank Lin's harsh boss; Lin teaches him to order milk tea via phone and wear a suit to pass as a "normal person". But as the door starts vibrating inexplicably, pursuers from the cultivation world track them down—they want to seize control of the gate and even erase Lin. When Gu protects her by hiding behind the door, they discover the door holds secrets far deeper than just a "channel"...
