Xiaoman goes from wanting to kick him out to loving him like a daughter, forming an unbreakable bond. When the time-travel array finally appears in an ancient painting, Xiaofu holds the cartoon pencil Xiaoman gave him and sobs: “Can I take my modern mom back to the past too?”
