Lin Xiaoman, a planetarium star chart restorer, follows her late grandma's wish to find the "star that fell into dreams". She accidentally wakes Shen Xingyao, a Republican-era astronomer trapped for a century by his obsession to save his dying lover, from an anonymous star chart. As they restore it, Xiaoman discovers she's the lover's reincarnation—but Shen's redemption holds a fatal paradox: completing the chart will send him back to vanish, while staying dooms him to fade from temporal dislocation. When the "Dream Star" finally appears, they must choose between fixing the past or seizing their present.
