Lin Wan, an archaeology graduate student, travels to the deep mountains of Western Yunnan with half a book of "Western Yunnan Secret Files" left by her missing grandfather. On the way, she meets Amo, a quiet guide. Following the clues, they find a group of ancient stone statues covered in vines—each statue’s face exactly matches the villagers who have gone missing in recent years! At night, the statues emit human-like wailing. Lin Wan also finds a line of blood writing in her grandfather’s notes: "The statues are waiting for the next 'replacement'." At this moment, Amo suddenly admits his sister is one of the missing—he approached Lin Wan to use the secret files to uncover the truth, while the curse behind it quietly closes in on them...
