Su Wan is her best friend's "love hacker". To avenge her best friend who was "abandoned" by the "playboy" Lu Shiyan, she tailored a "capture plan"—disguising herself as the retro bookstore clerk Lu adores, using handwritten notes and old-book-for-coffee rituals to create the illusion of "soulmate connection", determined to get proof of his "playboy ways". But as they grow closer, she catches Lu taking care of his cancer-stricken grandma at the hospital late at night, and discovers he anonymously covered her best friend's business losses—turns out her best friend's "pain" was just a self-righteous misunderstanding. When every step of the "conspiracy" goes off track, Su Wan has to choose between her best friend's urging and her growing feelings for Lu. Is this "purposeful" approach a deception, or true love?
