Modern buddies Lin Tao (reincarnated as a late Ming soldier) and Zhang Lei (a retired artilleryman) accidentally time-travel to the chaotic late Ming. To survive, Zhang Lei uses modern gunpowder tech to build firearms, while Lin Tao leverages his era knowledge to gather connections—they quickly amass 700 million silver taels and form an elite firearm unit. When Huang Taiji’s Eight Banners attack, they defeat the enemy with cutting-edge firepower, drawing both modern task forces (wanting their time-travel case) and late Ming spies (seeing them as heretics). The brothers must expand power and evade dual crises to rewrite the late Ming’s fate.
