Top screenwriter Ming Yue's career collapses after being framed for plagiarism. She hides in an old alley rental to lick her wounds, where the silent watch repairman Chen Mo always hands her hot porridge when she breaks down—and secretly gathers evidence to clear her name. It turns out he's a terminally ill patient once healed by her old script, clinging to life to keep his promise: "to see you shine again". When Ming Yue finishes her new script *Dawn*, Chen Mo disappears, leaving only a pocket watch engraved with "The Moon Will Meet the Dawn". On the premiere day, Chen Mo—on a ventilator—pushes an evidence box and smiles: "I didn't miss your dawn."
