Rising music producer Lin Wan takes on a core project right after returning to China, requiring a hit lead track tied to an original literary IP. She stumbles on manuscripts by down-and-out poet Shen Yu in a second-hand bookstore; whose poetic imagery perfectly matches the melody Lin Wan had struggled to compose for months. Mistaking Shen Yu for plagiarizing her work, she confronts him angrily, only to find him on the verge of collapse due to repeated rejections by potential patrons and financial hardship. The two clash sharply over authorship, until Lin Wan discovers the anonymous poetry slip she wrote to the orphanage as a child is identical to Shen Yu’s treasured manuscript—it turns out fate had long woven two frustrated souls with invisible bonds.
