*Magic Phone Side Story: Brother Pig's Tale* centers on the lovable, naive "Brother Pig" (Zhu Bajie) from the original series. One day, he stumbles upon Sha Niu's backup magic phone and uncovers a past-life secret: Xiaocui, the lover he missed in Gao Lao Zhuang, has reincarnated as A-cui, a feisty stewed pork shop owner in modern times. Determined to fix his regret, Brother Pig uses the phone's "time rewind" function to "run into" A-cui repeatedly—but his clumsiness leads to endless chaos: spilling stew on her, blowing up her lights, even accidentally revealing his pig ears and nearly being mobbed as a cosplay influencer. As the phone's battery drains, Brother Pig finally works up the courage to confess—only to find A-cui has been holding their past-life silver hairpin all along, waiting for her "clumsy old pig." Hilarious mishaps meet heartwarming sincerity, rekindling the original series' charm.
