History graduate student Lin Manxian accidentally activates an old telegraph while sorting out Republic of China-era antiques, and wakes up in a parallel world where there are no smartphones or online shopping, but a surprisingly mature aviation industry. Trapped in this unfamiliar era, she meets quiet aerospace engineer Shen Yi. Their cultural gap leads to many comedic mix-ups, and they soon get drawn into a top-secret national aviation project. While trying to find her way home and adapt to the strange new life, Lin slowly develops feelings for the era and the man by her side.
