Retired mechanical engineer Chen Mo, widowed for three years, moves to a coastal old neighborhood and constantly finds Zhang Guiying, the porridge seller downstairs, overly nagging. They frequently clash while joining community volunteer activities. Everything changes when a sudden storm blows away Guiying's stall awning: Chen Mo helps her retrieve it, then takes her to the hospital after she sprains her ankle. Gradually, both let down their guards, having both waited years for someone to watch sunsets with. As the dusk wind blows through the stone-paved alley, their late love takes root in their twilight years, warming their remaining days.
