Chen Mo, a scavenger in Zone 9—a marginal settlement in the wasteland—accidentally opens a time channel to modern cities with mysterious black-tech gear he found. He exchanges worthless energy cores from the wasteland for urgently needed rice and supplies in modern markets, quickly becoming a cross-time profiteer. This enrages a global capital group controlling resources, which sets a trap to eliminate him. Chen Mo fights back with advanced wasteland black-tech to dismantle the capital’s plans, builds his own order between the two worlds, and rises from a humble scavenger to a legend dominating both realms.
