When a small-town teen named Chen Mo bets with his friends and teases a wandering credit knife peddler, mocking her age-old traditions and even snatching her knife to play around, he falls victim to a string of terrible luck overnight: he's evicted from his rental, fired from his part-time supermarket job after a huge cash shortage, and even his three-year girlfriend breaks up with him out of the blue. When his grandfather yells "What did you do to her? She's a knife dealer!" while watching a folk culture show on TV, Chen Mo suddenly remembers the peddler's smiling last words: "I'll come for the knife when your debt is paid." Panicked, he now rushes around trying to make amends before it's too late.
