Lin Xiaoman, a modern cultural relic restorer, accidentally travels back to Nanluoguxiang in 1960 after touching her grandmother’s old pocket watch. Trapped in this era of scarce supplies but full of warmth, she stumbles into an old clock shop on the street and meets quiet shop owner Chen Mo—his pocket watch is identical to the one Lin Xiaoman brings. Among neighbors, suspicion and mutual help interweave. Lin Xiaoman is involved in a dusty “grain book theft case”. Her getting closer to Chen Mo not only makes her doubt the truth of her time travel, but also touches her grandmother’s unfinished love story in this old alley.
