Lin Xiaoman, an overworked office worker, mumbled "I wish my crush Gu Jingshen could be my roommate" before passing out from overtime. To her shock, she wakes up bound to the "Wish Echo System"—every casual complaint or daydream comes true! She tries to slack off with the system but ends up dealing with chaotic bugs:吐槽ing her client is as hard as cultivating immortality, the client actually brings a Taoist scripture to the meeting; complaining about the neighborhood cat rummaging through garbage, the cat shows up with a trash bag in its mouth… Worst of all, Gu Jingshen not only becomes her roommate but keeps testing her with "I feel like I’ve heard your voice before". As her "unintentional wishes" pile up, Lin Xiaoman finally learns—three years ago, the hot cocoa she gave Gu Jingshen at a convenience store was already his long-hidden "unspoken wish".
