Meanwhile, Gu Heng, a scientist investigating the “ecological miracle,” suspects her of faking it with technology. Xiaoman uses the painting to handle troubles—like drawing a rooster to chase away wild boars, only to have the whole village scrambling for the “immortal rooster”; or drawing light rain that almost washes away her seedlings. She hides the secret while resolving misunderstandings with Gu Heng. When Zhou Daqiang comes to demolish the farm, Gu Heng discovers the scroll’s signature is Xiaoman’s grandfather—the old technician who returned to plant trees decades ago. It turns out the “magic power” is the ecological data Grandpa recorded all his life, and Xiaoman’s persistence made it a reality. Finally, they build an ecological farm with the villagers, and Xiaoman realizes: the real “immortal field” is love and persistence for the land.
