Su Xiao, a female journalist from Western Hunan, returns to her hometown to find her missing sister, only to discover a strange phenomenon in the ancient town—every time the Nuo opera troupe performs "Summoning the Soul," someone disappears without a trace. Disguised as an apprentice to infiltrate the troupe, she unexpectedly finds her sister's necklace backstage. Beneath the Nuo mask of the troupe leader, Old Chen, lies a face identical to the "mysterious man" in the photo taken before her sister's disappearance! Even more terrifying, the troupe's "Soul Mask" is stained with her sister's blood... When the traditional ritual turns into a deadly trap, can Su Xiao uncover the truth behind the mask before she becomes the next "soul offering"?
